Steel Cut Oatmeal for the Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 2 cup steel cut oats (do not substitute old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats)
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 stick of butter

Preparation

Step 1

Place all ingredients in a slow cooker.
2. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours.
3. If oatmeal forms a crust around the outside just scrape it down with a metal spoon and stir.
