Ingredients
- 1 lb. Brussels sprouts (trimmed and quartered)
- 1 T butter
- 1 T olive oil
- 3 T toasted slivered almonds
- 1 T white-wine vinegar
- 1 tsp. dill
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Bring 1 inch water to boil in large saucepan. In steamer basket add sprouts and cover and steam 5-7 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt butter and cook until it turns a nutty brown. (1-3 minutes)
Stir in oil and scrape into a large bowl. Add the Brussels sprouts, almonds, vinegar, dill, salt and pepper. Toss to combine.
TO MICROWAVE BRUSSELS SPROUTS:
Place in microwave safe bowl. Add 14 c water, cover tightly and microwave on high until tender. (about 6 minutes)
