Oyster Rockefeller Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 cup green onions - finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped frozen spinach
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 pint chopped oysters
  • 1/8 t garlic
  • 1/4 t pepper
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 2 T herbsaint or anise
  • 5-6 drops tabasco

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onions, lettuce, green pepper,parsley, celery and spinach in butter. Cook 5 minutes over medium heat. Add bread crumbs, and oysters and simmer. Add garlic, pepper, salt, herbsaint and tabasco. Simmer 5 more minutes.
