  • Peanut oil, for frying
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 cup AP flour
  • 2 tsp salt, plus more for seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper, plus more for seasoning
  • 1 lb green beans, ends trimmed

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oil to 375 degrees.
Whisk together the beer, flour, salt and pepper til smooth.
Dip green beans into batter to coat, letting excess drip off. Fry in the oil in batches, til they are golden and crisp. Drain and season with salt and pepper.
