Sweet-Sour Appetizer Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground beef, or turkey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. bread or cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 bottle chili sauce or ketchup
  • 1/2 c. grape jelly
  • Juice of lemon

Preparation

Step 1

Combine beef, eggs, bread/cracker crumbs, water, salt, pepper and garlic salt. Form into small balls. In large skillet, heat and stir together the chili sauce, grape jelly and lemon juice until jelly melts. Place balls in sauce, cover and simmer 5 to 10 minutes. Makes about 48 balls.
