Ingredients

  • 1 c yellow & coarse cornmeal
  • 1 c flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp suger
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • oil

Preparation

Step 1

Mix dry ingredients together. Pour milk into 2 cup or larger measuring cup. Slightly beat egg & add milk. Mix together well & add to dry ingredients a little at a time. Add 3 Tbs vegetable oil. Bake at 400 until brown. Test w/ toothpick. If not done, lay foil over top (do not seal) & put back in.
