Ingredients
- 1 2/2 TBsp sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 tsp vanilla

Step 1
Caramelize sugar by browning insaucepan on med-high heat until dark brown. Add about 2 TBSP water to make a total of 3 TBSP syrup. Add syrup to butter, powdered sugar and salt. Cook in double boiler for 10 minutes over low heat. (Water should be simmering). Remove from heat, add 1 stiffly beaten egg white and vanilla. Cool a bit and pour over angel food cake as a glaze.
