Ingredients
- Note:
- 1 CUP COCONUT OIL (UNREFINED) (must be in solid state in order to achieve whipped consistency)

- 2 tbsp ALOE VERA GEL
- 1 tbsp olOlive Oil
- OPTIONAL: mix in 20 drops essential oil for light scent (Lavender, lemongrass, and vanilla work great!!)
- If you don’t have organic unrefined coconut oil substitute refined coconut oil, shea butter, or cocoa butter instead.
- If you don’t have sunflower seed oil use all olive oil, or part hemp oil or jojoba oil.
Preparation
Step 1
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
Using a hand mixer or stand mixer, whip together until all ingredients are well incorporated (about 5-10 minutes).
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and continue to whip until mixture has a fluffy frosting like consistency. If you’re going to add essential oils, do so at this time. Make sure the essential oil is well incorporated before you scoop moisturizer into storage container.
NOTE: This body oil is a solid until 76 degrees and then it liquefies. In warm weather months you may want to store this lotion in the fridge or in an air conditioned room to keep the lovely, whipped consistency.
STORE IN GLASS CONTAINER, not plastic.
Essential oil(s) may break down materials like certain plastics and potentially leech toxins into the lotion.
This oil lotion is most effective when applied while your skin is still wet after bathing.
This also works well as a make-up remover, lip balm (mix in melted beeswax), and massage oil.
