Hearty Vegetable Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 pound stew meat, diced
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 large potatoes, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 6 large carrots, diced
  • 1/2 cup pearl barley
  • 4 beef bouillon cubes
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 package frozen corn
  • 1 package frozen peas
  • 1 cup noodles
  • 1/3-1/2 cup flour and water thickening
  • 2 quart water

Preparation

Step 1

Cover stew meat with water and simmer.

Dice vegetables and add to meat with barley. Simmer 1 hour. Add noodles and frozen peas and corn; simmer 30 minutes.

Thicken as desired.
