Ingredients
- 2-4 cube steaks about 5 ounces each
- 4 about 4 cups flour
- salt
- pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 1 egg
- oil for frying

Step 1
First thing you want to do is get your oil preheated.Place enough oil in a skillet to come up about a 1/2 inch up the side of the skillet.You want your oil to be about 350 degrees.
While your oil is heating place milk in a bowl and add your egg and whisk thoroughly.
Next place your flour in a bowl or small pan and season with salt and pepper and mix well.Okay you are ready.
When your oil is hot simply dip your cube steak in the flour then the milk then back in the flour and place in skillet.Fry on both sides until golden brown, remove and place on paper towels to drain.The great thing about chicken fried steak is nothing goes to waste.
Add what is left of the flour to your hot oil and stir with a fork to form a paste or roux.
Add what is left of the milk and stir with fork making sure to incorporate all of the roux.You are making gravy.season with salt and pepper.Add more milk as needed to make creamy gravy.remember to stir constantly.Your done.place a chicken fried steak on a plate and cover with gravy and enjoy...and Welcome to Texas.
