Almond Toffee Bars ***

My favourite bar of all time...easy to make! Cannot find Mac toffee in the box anymore so buy caramel from specialty kitchen store like Bosch Kitchen Centre.

Ingredients

• 168 grams of caramel toffee (MacIntosh Bars x 3)
• 2 tsp cream
• 2 tbsp butter
• 2 cups corn flakes
• 1 cup of slivered almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Stir toffee (small pieces) , cream and butter in saucepan and bring just to a boil and remove immediately. Add almonds and cornflakes a bit at a time. Stirring briskly. Place on buttered saran wrap lined 9x9 pan. Use fork to spread. Cut into squares while warm. Cool. Place in sealed container. Drizzle with chocolate (optional).
