Ingredients
- 1 pound mascarpone
- 14 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 8 ounces brewed coffee
- 24 Italian-style lady finger cookies
- Unsweetened cocoa powder for dusting
- 1 small bar good-quality chocolate, peeled into shavings
Preparation
Step 1
Pour coffee into another bowl an lightly dip 12 lady finger cookies in the coffee.
Arrange cookies in single layer in bottom of 8x8" pan. spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the cookies.
Dip remaining 12 cookies in coffee. Top with remaining mascarpone mixture, spreadint it smooth. Use a vegetable peeler to make chocolate shavings to cover the topping. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for several hours,or overnight. Before serving, fill a small sieve with a few tablespoons of cocoa powder and gently dust over the surface of the tiramisu,covering it. Finish with a few chocolate shavings.
