Ingredients

  • Frosting:
  • 1 pkg. Spice Cake Mix
  • 3/4 c. Melted Butter
  • 1/3 c. Evaporated Milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 c. Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 c. Evaporated Milk
  • 1/4 c. cubed butter
  • 2 c. Confectioners Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 13X9 baking pan. In large bowl mix cake mix, butter, milk and egg. Batter will be thick.
Spread in greased pan and bake 15-20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool.
In a large saucepan combine brown sugar, milk and butter over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 3 minutes.
Stir in confectioners sugar and vanilla. Spread immediately over cake. Cool completely and cut into bars.
Store in an airtight container.
