Fry Bread - Hubbard Style

This is a recipe from my father's family.

The dough lasts for several days in the refrigerator.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 6 tablespoons oil
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 10 to 11 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients and leave overnight before using dough.
Can be fried or made into rolls.

*These are good with taco makings or cinnamon sugar on top.
