Ingredients

    tablespoons olive oil

    lb ground beef

  • 1/2

    lb ground pork

  • 1

    medium onion, chopped

  • 1

    clove garlic, minced

  • 1

    green chili, chopped

  • 2

    large tomatoes, seeded and chopped

  • 1/2

    teaspoon achiote powder

  • 1/2

    teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1/4

    teaspoon thyme leaves

  • 1/4

    teaspoon black pepper

  • 1

    teaspoon salt

  • 8

    pimento stuffed olives

  • 1

    tablespoon capers

Directions

1.Place first 12 ingredients in Electric Skillet and cook until meat is done [about 20 minutes] 2. Stir in olives and capers. 3. Split arepas [see basic arepa recipe] and fill with meat. Serve hot.
