Ingredients
- Sauce:
- 2 c. Flour
- 1 t. Salt
- 2 t. Baking Powder
- 1/2 c. Milk
- 1/2 c. Shortening
- Peel (or not) enough apples to cover dough. Be sure to finely chop and drain so the dough will not become soggy.
- 2 c. Sugar
- 2 c. Water
- 1/4 c. Butter
- 1/4 t.Cinnamon
- 1/4 t. Nutmeg

Preparation
Step 1
Make dough and roll into thin rectangle. Spread with finely chopped and drained apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg. Roll starting at long side. Cut into 2 inch pinwheels.
Freeze individually on cookie sheet then put in a freezer bag. When ready to bake, place in a greased 9 X 13 pan.
Put sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over pinwheels and bake 375 for 35 - 40 minutes.
