Beer and Brown Sugar Steak

  • 4

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Guinness beer
  • 1 T soy sauce
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 T brown sugar
  • 1 t cayenne pepper
  • 4 24-oz beef sirloin steaks
  • 1 T salt
  • 1 T pepper
  • 4 T finely minced garlic

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together the beer, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, jalapeño pepper and cayenne pepper in a large zip-lock bag. Place the steaks in the bag and zip to secure tightly. Invert a few times to completely coat steaks with mixture. Allow steaks to marinate 4 to 6 hours.

Mix together the salt, pepper and garlic to blend and set aside. Remove the steaks from the zip-lock bag. Lightly sprinkle half the dry ingredients on one side of the steaks. Turn the steaks over, and sprinkle the remaining dry ingredients over the steaks. Set the steaks aside for 5 minutes. Preheat grill for high heat and lightly oil the grill grate to prevent the steaks from sticking. Grill the steaks to the desired doneness. Makes 4 servings.
