Roasted Carmel Apples

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbs. butter
  • 4 firm, crisp apples, halved and seeded
  • 1/2 C. brown sugar
  • 2 tsps. ground cinnamon or 4 cinnamon sticks

Step 1

Adjust oven rack to middle and heat to 400. Place butter in 9x13 and set it in preheating oven to melt. remove pan from oven, sprinkle brown sugar over butter. Arrange cinnamon sticks evenly over sugar ( if not using sticks, mix cinnamon with sugar) . place apples, cut side down over sugar mixture/sticks. Bake until aples are tender, about 25mins. Remove pan form oven and turn apples right side up and spoon sauce over tops. Return pan to oven and continue to roast about 5 mins. or until golden brown. Remove form oven and cool slightly before serving
