Ingredients

  • 3 c beets (canned) (sliced or diced)
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 T corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c mild cider vinegar

Step 1

In a double boiler stir sugar, corn starch, salt and vinegar until smooth. Cook until clear. Add beats and place over hot water for 3 minutes. (do not boil) Just before serving add 2 T butter.

You may add 1 small orange ground or 1 T orange marmalade.
