Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 cans tomato paste, 6 oz
- 3/4 c water
- 9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
- 1 pound cottage cheese, dry curd (or ricotta)
- 2 packages mozzarella cheese, 6 oz sliced

Preparation
Step 1
Brown beef with seasonings. Add onion and garlic. Cook until soft. Add tomato paste and water. Simmer for a few min. Cook noodles in water with a few drops of cooking oil added (they stay separated). In baking dish 9x13x2, spread thin layer of sauce, then 3 noodles side by side. Add cottage cheese and 1 pkg mozzarella cheese. Then repeat with 1/2 of the remaining sauce, 3 noodles, then rest of the sauce and 1 pkg mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly, about 35 to 40 min. Remove from oven and let stand 15 min. Cut into squares to serve.
