Bow Ties w/Sausage

Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. sweet Italian Sausage (
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 can (28 oz.) Italian tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
  • 2 tbsp. fresh parsley
  • 1 lb. bowtie pasta
  • Parmesan cheeese

Step 1

1. Slit sausage casings and remove them. Cut sausage into one-inch chunks. In a large skillet, heat oil and cook sausage until it is no longer pink. Add onions and garlic; cook until onion is soft and sausage browns. Drain canned tomatoes and chop them; add to skillet with cream and salt. Simmer until mixture thickens, about 4 min.

2. Cook bowtie according to package directions. Drain well; add to sauce. Cook for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with parmesan before serving.
