Ingredients
- 2 T canola oil
- 2 med. red onions
- 1 c. finely chopped celery
- 3 T. Asian chili sauce
- 2 1/2 T minced garlic
- 1 T peeled fresh ginger
- Kosher salt
- Finely ground black pepper
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 c. hoisin sauce
- 1/2 c. fresh lime juice
- Shredded lettuce and spicy pickles for serving

Preparation
Step 1
In a large, deep skillet, heat oil until shimmering. Add onions, celery, chili sauce, garlic giner and generous pinch each of S&P. Cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are softened.
Add ground meats, stirring occasionally to break up the meat, until no pink remains. Stir in hoisin, tomatoes and lime juice and bring to boil. Simmer over moderately low heat, stirring occasionally until thickened. Season as needed.
