Marinated Grilled Tuna Steaks with Fruit Salsa

Ingredients

  • MARINATE:
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 1 seeded jalapeno pepper
  • 1 handful of fresh cilantro
  • 1 scallion, sliced
  • 2 - 4 tuna steaks
  • FRUIT SALSA:
  • 2 cups assorted diced fruit (mango, pineapple, strawberries)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro or mint
  • juice of half of lime
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1

MARINADE: Puree first 7 ingredients in a blender. Pour over fish. Let marinate for 30 minutes to one hour in the fridge.

FRUIT SALSA: For the salsa, toss ingredients together. Season with a little salt and pepper

Remove fish from marinade and grill to your liking. Top each steak with some fruit salsa right before serving.
