In Dutch oven add salted water to ribs to cover. Cover pan, simmer till almost tender, about 1 hr. Drain ribs; place in shallow baking pan.

In saucepan combine 1 C. water, 1/2 tsp. salt, catsup and the next 6 ingedients. Bring to boiling. Cook and stir 5 minutes. Add onion and lemon. Cool. Spoon over ribs. At this point you can continue to bake the ribs or you can cover and chill for up to 24 hrs.

Bake ribs, uncovered, at 350° for 45 minute; baste often. Serves 4.
