Ingredients

  • Drizzle for cake:
  • 1/4 cup Maraschino cherries
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 1 package yellow cake mix (Duncan Hines)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 small package instant vanilla pudding
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup rum
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup rum

Preparation

Step 1

Grease and flour pan, use Bundt or angle pan
Put 1/4 cup Maraschino cherries (drained) and 1/2 cup of nuts in bottom of
pan. Mix yellow cake mix, 4 eggs, 1 small package instant pudding, 1/2 cup
water and 1/2 cup rum. Mix well with electric mixer. Pour into the pan and
bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes. Take out of oven, but not pan.
Let cool for 10 minutes then make drizzel. Boil until a light syrup pour over
cake (still in pan). Let set 1 hour then turn out.
