Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water (+ 1 tsp. sugar)
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 Tblsp. sugar (- 1 tsp. sugar)
  • 1 Tblsp. minced onion
  • 1 Tblsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. dill seed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 unbeaten egg
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

Preparation

Step 1

Soften yeast in warm water with sugar. Heat cottage cheese to lukewarm. Add rest of ingredients and stir in flour. Stir all together and beat well. Cover and let rise 1 hour. Grease 8-in. casserole. Bake at 325* oven for 40 - 50 minutes or until done. Brush with butter and sprinkle with salt, if desired.
