Walnut Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/3 C Shortening
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 C flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 C milk
  • walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening, add sugar slowly, beating well. Add unbeaten eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with milk to first mixture. Bake in greased layer cake pans in moderate oven at 375 for about 25 min.
