JENNIFER'S POPCORN BALLS

Ingredients

  • 2 bags hull-less pop corn (Conn's or Mike Sells)
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • food coloring to color desired-your choice

Preparation

Step 1

Put popcorn in large high sided bowl or pan.
Melt butter over medium heat. Add sugar, corn syrup, salt and food coloring( if desired) Stir constantly. Heat to boiling. Cook for 2 minutes.
Drizzle hot syrup mixture over popcorn. Stir syrup mixture thru popcorn scrapping bottom of pan or bowl until popcorn is well covered.
Wet hand with water and start to form popcorn balls pressing together for form desired size balls.
Place balls on wax paper to cool.
You may need to press balls together more as they are cooling if they start to separate.
Place cooled popcorn balls in plastic wrap or bags for storage.
