Ingredients
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons grated onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 pound beef sirloin tip, cut into 2x1/2x1/8-inch strips
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Cooked white or brown rice
Preparation
Step 1
1. BLEND soy sauce, honey, ginger, onion and garlic in medium bowl. Add meat; stir well. Cover. Marinate in refrigerator about 1 hour.
2. BLEND water and cornstach in medium saucepan. Put strainer over saucepan. Pour marinated meat into strainer so that meat is well drained and extra marinade drains into saucepan. Return meat to bowl. Bring mixture to boiling. Cook and stir 2 minutes.
3. HEAT oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add meat and brown quickly on all sides. Remove meat from skillet using slotted spoon and place in pan of sauce. Toss lightly to coat meat. Stir in green onions and red pepper flakes. Serve over hot rice
