I received this recipe from a co-worker, it's great and easy to make! You can also add sausage or beef to this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thin spaghetti
  • 1 cup onions, diced
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup american cheese, diced or shredded
  • bread crumbs for topping
  • oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1

Fry onions, drain on plate. Cook spaghetti, drain and put in large bowl but do not rinse. Add 3/4 stick of butter and cheese and mix thoroughly. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste and fried onions. Once mixed, salt to taste. Put into greased casserole dish. Melt remaining butter and pour over bread crumbs, add more diced cheese. Bake at 375 degrees, uncovered, for 45 minutes.

When reheating, cover pan.
