Sauteed Green Beans and Onions with BAcon

Ingredients

  • 2

    cans green beans

  • 4

    turkey bacon strips

  • 1- 16

    oz cocktail onions, drained

  • 2

    teaspoons brown sugar

  • ½

    teaspoon dried thyme

  • ¾

    teaspoon salt

  • ½

    teaspoon salt

Directions

Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat until crips/ REmove bacon from pan, reserving drippings in pan. crumble bacon and set aside. Add onions to drippings in pan (use the amount you prefer), cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add sugar and thyme, cook for 3 minutes or untio onions are golden brown, sstirring occasionally. Add the beans, and cook 2 minutes or unti lthoroughly heated. Add salt and pepper, toss to coat. Stir in crumbled bacon just before serving. Yield 8 serving. Calories- 59 Fat 3 grams
