Chicken Casserole

Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 2 cups chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 3/4 cup mayo
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 tsp. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper
  • 3 boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup cornflakes, crushed
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients and place in greased casserole. Stir crumbs and almonds into melted butter and spoon over casserole. Bake 350 for 35-40 min. Freezes well.
