  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 lrg egg, lighlty beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400. Lightly grease an 8in square baking dish.

In a small skillet, melt butter over medium high heat. Add onion and cook 3 minutes or until tender; set aside to cool.

In a medium bowl, combine eggs and milk. Gradually add biscuit mix, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in cooked onion, 1/2 cup cheese. Spread batter into pan; sprinkle evenly with remaining cheese; bake for 20 minutes.
