Ingredients
- 2 pkgs. (8oz. each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup mayo
- 1 T. minced onion
- 1/4 c. minced fresh chives
- 3-4 oz. blue cheese, crumbled (3/4-1 c. )
- 1/2 t. cayenne pepper
- 1 loaf whole wheat bread, very thinly sliced
- paprika
Preparation
Step 1
Mix cream cheese and mayo in a medium bowl. Stir in onion, chives, blue cheese, and cayenne pepper. Set aside.
Using a 1 1/2 - 2" round cookie cutter, cut bread slices into rounds. Spread 1 T. of cheese mixture on each round. Place puffs on a baking sheet and freeze.
When ready to serve, preheat oven to 350. Remove baking sheet from freezer. Bake 15 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika. Serve immediately.
Blue Cheese Puffs may be stored in sealed plastic bags in the freezer.
