Ingredients

    c. flour

  • 1/4

    c. unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2

    t. baking soda

  • 1/4

    t. salt

  • 1/2

    c. butter softened

  • 1

    c. sugar

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1/2

    c. sour cream

  • 1/4

    c. buttermilk

  • 1/2

    bottle red food coloring

  • 1

    t. vanilla extract

  • Vanilla cream cheese frosting

  • 1/2

    pgk. cream cheese softened

  • 2

    T. butter, softened

  • 1

    T. sour cream

  • 1

    t. vanilla extract

  • 1/2

    box (16 oz.) confectioners' sugar

Directions

Preheat over 350. Mix flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in bowl and set aside. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed 5 minutes or until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix in sour cream, milk, food color and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture o n low speed until just blended. Do not overbeat. Spoon batter into 30 paper lined muffin cups, filling each 2/3 full. Bake 20 - 25 min or until toothpick inserted into cupcake comes out clean. Cool in pans in wire rack 5 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely. Frost and serve!
