Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 6-9 tablespoons cold water (depending on egg size)
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar

Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour & salt, cut in shortening to cornmeal texture.
In separate bowl, mix egg, water and vinegar. Add to dry ingredients.
Divide dough in thirds and roll out on slightly floured disc cover. (It does not take a lot of flour to roll this crust out.)
If recipe calls for a pre-baked crust, bake at 375° until golden.
Also great for tarts, cobblers & fried pies.
Special Tip: If you have extra dough left, this crust is great for simple chocolate or cinnamon rolls. Just butter top of crust and sprinkle with cocoa & sugar. Roll up and bake until golden.
