  • 1 1 1 pound lean ground pork or turkey
  • 1 1 1 package McCormick Original Homestyle Gravy Mix
  • 1 1 1 C water
  • 1-1/2 1-1/2 1-1/2 C milk
  • 1 1 1 package Pillsbury Low-Fat Home-style biscuits (8)
  • Pepper
  • Low Sodium Emeril's Essence or Lowry's Reduced sodium seasoning

Step 1

Preheat oven and prepare biscuits according to package directions. While biscuits are cooking, brown meat in a deep skillet, crumbling while cooking over medium high heat. Season with pepper and low sodium Emeril's Essence (separate recipe). While meat is cooking prepare the gravy mix in a mixing bowl by adding milk water and gravy mix, stir well to eliminate lumps. Drain fat and return to heat - add premixed gravy sauce and stir well, bring to a boil and reduce heat to low and simmer for 3 - 4 minutes.

Split biscuits in 1/2 like an English muffin and ladle sausage gravy over biscuits.
