Pecan Pie Squares

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup +2 T. sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 t. salt
  • Filling-
  • 4 eggs slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 T. butter- melted
  • 1 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350. Grease jelly roll pan, 15 ½ x 10 ½ x 1. Beat flour, sugar, butter, and salt in a large bowl on med. speed until crumbly (mixture will be dry). Press firmly in pan. Bake until light golden brown, about 20 min. Prepare Filling. Pour over baked layer; spread evenly. Bake until Filling is set, about 25 min.; cool. Cut into 1 ½ “ squares.




Filling- Mix all ingredients except pecans until well blended. Stir in pecans.
