White Buttercream Frosting
This recipe is for cupcakes, frost 12. This is from Food and Wine magazine.
- 6 tbs unsalted butter, softened
- 2 c confectioner's sugar, sifted
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbs milk or heavy cream
Preparation time 15mins
Cooking time 15mins
In medium bowl, use a handheld mixer and beat the softened butter at medium speed until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla extract and salt and beat at low speed until just combined. Increase speed to medium and beat until smooth. Add milk or heavy cream and beat until and fluffy, about 2 mins. Spread frosting on cupcakes and top as desired.
Topping: crushed oreos, crunchy granola and finely chopped dried fruit; strawberry jam
