Chocolate - Red Velvet Cake This one

Ingredients

  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon soda
  • 1 (8oz.) sour cream
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 (1-oz.) bottle red food coloring

Preparation

Step 1

Beat butter at meduim speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until blended after each addition.
Stir together flour, cocoa, and baking soda. Add to butter mixture alternately with sour cream, begining and ending with flour mixture. Beat at low speed until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla and red food coloring. Use batter immediately
