Ginger Shrimp

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tsp. finely shredded orange peel
  • 3 Tbsp. orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper



Step 1

In a large saucepan, bring the water to boiling. Add shrimp. Simmer, covered, for 2 minutes. Drain. Rinse with cold water, drain well.

Place shrimp in bag and set in shallow bowl. Add the orange peel, orange juice, vinegar, oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and cayenne pepper to bag. Seal bag; toss gently to coat shrimp. Marinate for 2 hours.
