  • 2 1/2 tbsp yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 12-13 cups flour

Step 1

Let yeast rise in 1 cup water with 2 tsp sugar about 15 min. Add 4 cups warm water, oil, remaining sugar, and salt. Gradually add flour until dough comes together but is still somewhat sticky. Place on counter and knead about 10 minutes, adding flour as necessary until soft, smooth consistency. Let rise 1 1/2 hours, greased and covered, then punch down and rise again the same. Place in well greased pans and rise about 2 hours, then bake at 375 for about 35 min.
