Ingredients
- 2 cans (7.5 oz) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F. Cut each biscuit into quarters. In a small bowl combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Dip each biscuit piece in melted butter and roll it in the sugar mixture. Layer half the pieces in a 10" fluted tube pan and sprinkle with half of the nuts. Repeat for form a second layer on top. Pour maple syrup over entire top. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown. Immediately invert monkey bread onto serving platter and serve.
