Ingredients
- 1 c lukewarm water
- 1 1/4 oz. pkg. dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp softened butter
- 1 Tbsp + 1 tsp sugar
- 2 1/2 to 3 cups unbleached flour
- Oil

Preparation
Step 1
Place water in bowl. Sprinkle yeast over water and allow to sit 5 minutes. Add butter, sugar and 2 1/2 c flour. Knead adding flour to form stiff dough. Let rise 1 hour. Heat oil to 350 degrees. Form into disks 4' x 1/8' and deep fry. Drain on paper towels.
