Sour Dough Black Quinoa Bread

This is a wonderful artisian bread with the wonderful black quiona that gives the bread a lovely texture and look.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour dough starter
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 cup whole cooked black Grain (can be red or white quinoa also.
  • 3 to 5 cups natural white flour
  • 3 tablespoons yeast

Preparation

Step 1

Place all ingredients in mixer bowl adding only half the flour and placing the yeast on top of the flour. Turn on mixer and mix adding more flour until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Mix for 6 minutes. Remove and form dough into 2 long French style loaves. Bake in a 350 degree oven until internal temperature reaches 210 degrees.
