Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Seeds
- 1/3 cups Soy Sauce
- 3 Tablespoons White Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 2 whole Green Onions, Finely Chopped (including Greens)
- 1/4 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Ginger
- 1/8 teaspoons Ground Black Pepper
- 1-1/2 pound Sirloin Steaks
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a small pan toast sesame seeds over medium heat, stirring occasionally to get an even toast. Toast until golden brown (2-3 minutes) then remove from heat.
2. In a medium bowl combine sesame seeds and all of the remaining ingredients except the beef. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
3. Add the steaks to the bowl and coat with marinade. Pour beef and all marinade into a large Ziploc bag. Marinate in refrigerator overnight.
4. Preheat outdoor grill for high heat (to get a good sear). Place steaks on grill and cook 4-5 minutes per side (depending on thickness) for a medium (pink center) doneness.
5. Thinly slice steaks, across the grain and serve immediately.
