Ingredients
- 1 . 1 cup rice
- 2 . 2 cups water
- 3 . 1 tablespoon oil + or -
- 4 . turmeric
- 5 . salt
- 6 . raisins as you wish

Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat oil a little.
2. Add rice Stir till coated.
3. Add water & salt
4. Add raisins & turmeric (watch for colour by adding a little at a time!)
5. Cook gently for 10 min. Covered on low heat, simmer.
6. When most of the water is absorbed. Switch off stove & let the rice swell on the cooling plate.
7. Cooking time depends on the quality of the rice.
8. You may like to add a touch of brown sugar but I don't like the taste.
