PC German Chocolate Skillet Cake
- 1-8 oz cream cheese
- 1 stick butter
- 1-7 oz flaked coconut
- 1 c chopped pecans
- 1 pkg german chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients)
- 1 box powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sprinkle coconut and pecans on bottom of skillet. Prepare cake mix according to directions. Gently pour over coconut layer spreading to edge. In saucepan, melt butter and cream cheese. Add powdered sugar and stir until creamy. Add by doll-ups to cake batter making sure not to touch the sides of skillet. Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from oven. Loosen edges of cake from skillet.
Carefully invert onto large serving plate. Remove any topping that might remain in skillet and spread over top of cake. Cool completely. Serve warm.
