Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh blueberries or huckleberries
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Dash of almond extract

Step 1
Blend 1/2 cup sugar and the cornstarch in medium saucepan. Stir in blueberries and lemon juice. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Add a dash (1/8 tsp) of almond extract. This sauce can be poured into sterilized jars and kept in the refrigerator to be used like jam on toast, biscuits, ice cream, etc. You can also pour the hot mixture into a casserole dish, add biscuit dough and make a cobbler.
