Ingredients
- Chocolate nut sticks:
- 1/2 cup soft margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs beaten
- 2 (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate melted
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- Frosting:
- 2 T soft margarine
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 T milk
- 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
- Top layer:
- 1 T margarine
- small package of chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Cream margarine and sugar. Blend in eggs. Stir in chocolate. Add flour and nuts, mix well. Pour in greased 9 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cook. When cool, frost with peppermint frosting.
Frosting:
Cream 2 T soft margarine- gradually add 1 cup powdered sugar. Blend in 1 T milk and 1/2 tsp. peppermint extract. Let stand until firm.
Over Frosted Bars melt 1 T margarine and small package of chocolate chips. Spread over frosting. Chill and cut.
